Similarly, in the Igando area of Ilesa, Osun State, a distressing event occurred when an unidentified woman, posing as a prospective tenant, disappeared with two young children.

In the latest incident, the family was last heard from on August 10, after leaving Lagos for Calabar, Cross River State, in a private vehicle. However, they never reached their destination.

Ann’s elder sister, Blessing Alechenu, told DAILY POST on Thursday that she last spoke with the couple around 2 p.m. when they were near Onitsha, Anambra State.

She expressed concern as the family has not arrived in Calabar, and all efforts to contact them since August 10 have failed. Their phones have remained switched off, causing further worry among relatives.

According to her, “They left Lagos for Calabar on the 10th of this month, I was chatting with my sister while they were still on their way. They were around Onitsha when I heard from them last.

“As at 6 to 7 pm, their numbers were ringing but they could not pick up. After some hours, the number went off and we couldn’t reach them till now”.

“The matter has been reported to the Lagos State Police command,” she said.
