Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has said that despite the animosity toward President Bola Tinubu, detractors cannot ignore the continuous change in the nation’s capital.
Wike was said to have spoken on Tuesday when the Dakibiyu District commissioned access roads in Sector Centre B.
According to the former governor of Rivers State, Nigerians would witness something unprecedented in Abuja on Tinubu’s third anniversary.
Wike said that the nation will soon reach its promised land and asked Nigerians to have patience with Tinubu’s administration.
By next year, when the President celebrates his third year in office, Nigerians will witness something they have never witnessed before, he said.
So, I’m asking all Nigerians to keep waiting; we’ll reach the promised land, and thanks to Mr. President, the story will be told differently; you can see it coming.
“As the director of ceremonies stated, you can determine if something is going well by looking at it sector by sector. Due to the requirement that each person provide their individual report card, let’s begin in Abuja.
“As far as the FCT is concerned, whoever wins—regardless of how much you may despise them or how it makes you feel to have lost the election—must win because elections are GG-free.
Therefore, even if you despise Mr. President, is it possible for you to fool yourself into believing that nothing is happening in the FCT? Most definitely not.
“There, you will also be able to see what the President is doing in other areas and determine whether we should flag off or commission, which is what democracy’s dividends are all about.”
