The party has been actively procuring and disseminating fabricated legal decisions to mislead the public and sway opinion in its favour.
In the latest move by the party, the APC has started pushing out fake judgement to deceive the Edo people about the candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
In their desperation, APC agents forgot to change the date of a fake court judgement they had been parading.
A copy of the fake judgement has been circulated on social media and residents of the state have been alerted to disregard it.
Sources close to the political scene in Edo State have revealed that the false court judgments are being used strategically to discredit strong opponents and create a false narrative that benefits the APC’s electoral prospects.
The tactics are reportedly aimed at influencing public perception and undermining confidence in competing candidates.
A political commentator in the state, Osaze Igbina, raised an alarm on the issue saying: ”The use of such deceptive practices raises concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and the potential for further erosion of trust in the political system.
”As the election approaches, scrutiny over these tactics by the APC should be more thorough. We should all insist on transparency and fairness in the lead-up to the elections.
”One thing is clear, the APC is not ready for free and fair elections. So, my advice to all Edo people is for us to be watchful and very observant of their antics.”
