Ghana is looking to secure its first victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers as they face Sudan in the second leg of their doubleheader at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.

The first leg, held last Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, ended in a goalless draw.

“Before the team departed from Accra, we were aware that the game would be played on an astroturf pitch,” he told Asempa FM.

“Sudan are playing their home games in their country, and we are aware that on that particular stadium, Libya plays international and league matches there.

“We just have to prepare ourselves and get ready for the game. We can’t blame Sudan for that,” he added.

The Black Stars arrived in Libya on Sunday and are scheduled to hold their mandatory training session at the Martyrs of February Stadium later tonight. Ghana is aiming for a win after recording two draws and a defeat in their previous qualifiers. The kickoff is set for 13:00 GMT.
