He gave the assurance on Friday while addressing the people of Irele community at the Irele Multipurpose Hall and Civic Centre in continuation of his campaign in the Southern Senatorial District of the state.

According to a statement by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, the governor assured the people of Irele in particular that he would not interfere in the selection of their new king, saying they would choose whoever they wish to be their monarch.

Moreover, Governor Aiyedatiwa declared that his administration would consolidate on its achievements in the next four years if voted into power at the forthcoming governorship poll.

He disclosed that his administration had prioritized security of lives and property in the state because its crucial for good governance and development of the state.

While promising to run an inclusive government, the governor emphasised that his administration would not make any promise that it cannot fulfill, disclosing that the construction of 28km Iyansan-Ajagba-Akotogbo Road has begun.

He said: “Whoever the kingmakers choose is the one who will be king. I implore the kingmakers to follow due process so that there will be a smooth selection process.”

A community leader, Chief Adeniyi Samson, commended the governor for paying workers salaries promptly, including gratuities.

He, therefore, and enjoined all the residents of Irele community to come out en masse on November 16 and vote for the governor.

Responding on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Odogbo of Omi, Oba Olorunsola Akinyelure, appreciating the governor for prioritising the welfare of traditional rulers in the state.

The monarch said: “You have done something for all monarchs in Irele local government. You have empowered us to shoulder our responsibilities. You have listening ears.”

Another prominent resident of the community, Remi Olatubora, SAN, who assured the Governor of the full support of the people of Irele, said: “We want to assure you that the kind of margin that nobody has ever had, we will give to you in Irele. This local government will not only vote for you but stand by you.”

Also, the governor visited Iyansan community, where he also given a warm reception.

The traditional ruler of the community, Oba Akinyomi Olasehinde, the Laaragunsin of Ode Iyansan, honoured Governor Aiyedatiwa with the chieftaincy title of the Jagunmolu of Iyansan.

The monarch and his subjects declared their support for the governor ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial poll.
