The controversy surrounding the appointment of the new head coach has forced the president wade in.
“The appointment of the new Super Eagles coach is now beyond the NFF and sports ministry,” a reliable source in the NFF told Completesports.
”The presidency is now in control of the entire process and one can just hope they will take the right decision.”
“We don’t need whether they will consult the NFF or sports ministry before coming up with a final choice.”
NFF’s technical director, Augustine Eguavoen is in line to manage the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda next month.
