Queen Naomi, Prince Tadenikawo, and several of the Ooni’s current wives were also in attendance. In a notable moment captured on video, Oba Ogunwusi and Prophetess Naomi exchanged a warm interaction as she held their son, sparking discussions about their relationship. This meeting was particularly meaningful given that in December 2021, Queen Naomi publicly announced her decision to end her three-year marriage to the monarch.

In a recent interview, Queen Naomi dismissed any possibility of returning to the palace, explaining that the Ooni’s choice to marry six other wives solidified her decision. Reflecting on her time as queen, she shared that, while the experience had joyous moments, it also had challenges. She admitted that she entered the marriage “too innocent and soft” and that the experience gave her a more complex view of life.

The Ooni, on his part, recently opened up about the emotional toll he experienced after their split, revealing how he endured public ridicule over his lack of a queen. He shared that he leaned on his faith, ultimately leading to a new chapter where he welcomed six wives into the palace over a three-month period: Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth Akinmuda, Olori Tobi Phillips, Olori Ashley, Olori Ronke, and Olori Temitope.

The Akure event and the monarch’s reunification with Prophetess Naomi have sparked conversation, underscoring the continued interest in the Ooni’s complex personal life and the dynamics within the royal household.
