Out of a total of 2,053,061 registered voters in Ondo, 1,793,914 have successfully collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). This marks a significant portion of the population prepared to participate in the democratic process. In comparison to the 2020 governorship election, where there were 1,478,460 eligible voters, the number of registered voters has grown considerably.
Furthermore, a detailed check revealed that in the lead-up to today’s election, 58,708 new voters were registered, while 3,132 voters have transferred their registration within the state, either moving to Ondo or within its boundaries. This marks an increase in voter engagement as the state prepares for what is expected to be a closely contested election.
