The significant shift in loyalty by the former Chairmen in show of support and solidarity to the emerging strongman in the APC comes amid plans to remove Ganduje as the APC National Chairman.

Sources close to the matter revealed that the former council chairmen are dissatisfied with Ganduje’s leadership style and his alleged poor handling of party affairs in the state.

Senator Barau Jibrin, an emerging power block in Kano state, has been rumored to be eyeing the APC Kano governorship ticket come 2027, as he many across other political parties have switched to his camp.

Consequently, Senator Barau meeting with the former council chairmen that led by Alhaji Muhammad Baffa Takai, former chairman ALGON, Kano Chapter has fueled speculation that he may be preparing to challenge Ganduje leadership dominance in the APC.

This tabloid learned that “Their visit to Senator Jibrin is seen as a strategic move to align themselves with a potential new leader, who can address their grievances and provide better representation for Kano state.”
