Halima Cissé, a young mother from Mali, has made history by setting a Guinness World Record after giving birth to nine healthy babies the most children ever born at once to survive.

The remarkable birth, which took place in Morocco through a C-section, saw Halima deliver five girls and four boys. She had been flown to Morocco for specialized high-risk care after doctors in Mali detected the rare multiple pregnancy.

Incredibly, her pregnancy was completely natural and not aided by fertility treatments, making the case even more extraordinary.

Today, the nonuplets are thriving, growing up in a loving and supportive family.
