The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to Senator Aminu Iya Abas’s comments about a recent empowerment program conducted by Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya, a fellow National Assembly member. According to the APC, Senator Abas has failed to execute a single project or demonstrate legislative relevance in the red chamber nearly two years into his tenure. In contrast, Hon. Boya’s empowerment program benefited over 11,000 individuals across party lines, showcasing effective representation.

The APC asserts that Senator Abas’s attacks are an attempt to distract from his own performance and the success of APC members. The party reaffirms its support for its elected officials and commitment to empowering the community through initiatives.

“The attention of our party has been drawn to the reckless statements made by Senator Aminu Iya Abas at several town hall meetings regarding the mega empowerment program conducted by Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya. His statements didn’t come as a surprise, given his disconnect with the electorate in the central zone.

“Boya’s empowerment program was transparent, cutting across party lines with over 11,000 beneficiaries. It’s clear that Senator Abas and his party, the PDP, are uncomfortable with the level of performance exhibited by our National Assembly members, particularly Hon. Boya.

“Instead of learning from Hon. Boya’s effective representation, Senator Abas resorted to a campaign of calumny. However, his efforts will not distract from the unwavering support our party is gaining due to Boya’s mega empowerment.

” We remain resolute and supportive to our elected legislators at the state and national levels, keeping the tempo high while exposing weaker representatives like Senator Abas.

“The majority of the electorate agrees that Senator Abas’s tenure has offered nothing to the people of the central zone. His election is considered a political accident that will not happen again.

” We urge the Adamawa electorate to disregard statements from destined failures who blame others for their poor performance.

” We assure you of our party’s commitment to building a strong society by organizing more mega empowerment programs through our elected representatives. Where others fail, we will succeed.”
