Reality TV star, Terseer Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya, has clarified rumours that he spent a staggering $30,000 on a plate of jollof rice at Whitemoney’s restaurant.

In a recent interview with Trend Centrl on YouTube, the former Big Brother Naija housemate explained that the viral claim was a complete misunderstanding.

He noted that his visit to Whitemoney’s restaurant was simply to support his friend’s business, not to make an extravagant food purchase.

‘I Was Supporting a Friend’s Brand’

Kiddwaya stressed that the idea behind the visit was to show love to Whitemoney’s food venture and help promote his brand.

“First of all, I was supporting a friend’s business. That’s it. Jollof rice was the concept. I follow Whitemoney on his food; his food is great. So he makes jollof rice, chicken, and all that kind of stuff. I was supporting his brand, helping him push it. The jollof rice was just the concept of it,” Kiddwaya said.

‘Who Spends $30,000 on Jollof Rice?’

The billionaire’s son added that social media users exaggerated the story after seeing his photos at the restaurant.

“You know when you post on social media, people will assume it’s that. But really, who’s spending thirty grand on one plate of jollof rice?” he asked humorously.

According to him, the narrative quickly spread online, with many users misinterpreting his intention. Rather than argue, Kiddwaya said he decided to let people believe whatever they wanted.

“So I let them run with the story. I’m on Twitter, reading everything they said, I just said okay, cool. Never try to fight it,” he remarked.
Showing Love and Support

Kiddwaya concluded by reaffirming that his gesture was an act of friendship and support for Whitemoney’s growing food business.

He emphasised that it was never about showing off wealth but about helping a friend succeed.
