The Speaker, who was dissatisfied with the lack of punctuality among staff, warned that his administration would not tolerate indiscipline. He made the statement during a meeting with journalists, where he shared his concerns about the poor attitude to work among staff.
The Speaker, who arrived at the office at 8:30 am, expressed his disappointment at the slow pace of work and emphasized that discipline is essential for any organization to move forward. He stressed that while he is committed to improving the welfare of staff, he will not condone indiscipline.
“I have instructed our Staff Officer to take disciplinary action against any staff member who is late or fails to meet their duties as expected,” he said.
The Speaker reassured staff that he remains committed to their welfare, but emphasized the need for staff to take their responsibilities seriously and be punctual. He also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his efforts to improve the welfare of workers.
