Mrs Ilaka reportedly died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Hon. Segelu described the late Iyalode of Oyo as a great woman who lived a life worthy of emulation and was a source of inspiration to many that knew her and crossed her path in the course of her sojourn on earth.
In his condolence message to condole with the erstwhile CoS in Oyo State, Segelu, the Chairman/CEO of YSEG Hotels and Suites in Ibadan, said: “Distinguished Oyebisi Luqman Ilaka, I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved mother, Chief (Mrs) Felicia Aderemi Ilaka, the Iyalode of Oyo. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
“Mama’s legacy of strength and love will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who knew her. She was a great source of inspiration to those who crossed her path. She obviously lived a life of fulfilment worth emulating.
“I hope you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared and the impact she made in the lives of many.
