Performing the inauguration in Jalingo on Saturday, the state party chairman, Hon. Abubakar Bawa tasked the committee to look beyond individual differences but deal with issues concerning intra-party grievances aimed at finding lasting and amicable resolutions to move the party forward.
Bawa noted that the caliber of the committee members chosen by the party for the task ahead no doubt will yield positive results that will put an end to party grievances and appreciated the state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas for the support to move PDP forward.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after inauguration, chairman of the committee, sen. Zik Ambuno Sunday noted that the party has remained in control of the state since 1999 and will continue to remain in power despite all odds.
According to him, the committee made up with men of high repute and impeccable character will bring to bear lasting solutions that will propel the party to be stronger and united.
The former northern Taraba Senator assured that all grey areas that led to individual grievances in the past will amicably be resolved and pave way for peace which the party was known for.
Senator Sunday assured that the committee will be fair and just in carrying out its assignment and sued for cooperation of all PDP families to enable them to succeed in the task ahead of them.
Meanwhile, the reconciliation committee has 16 members including its chairman and former state lawmaker, Hon. Lawan Abdulkarim who will serve as secretary.
