However, political pundits in Shendam LGA have accused the party officials in the state Chapter of maneuvering the exercise as they denied those aspiring to vie for the council’s Chairmanship.

The Stakeholders lampooned the absence of primaries in Shendam LGA blaming that there was no Congress held in the council and some of the aspirants in four LGAs are already in court challenging the congresses.

Our medium gathered that this is happening because of the long political rivalry between the two gladiators in Shendam LGA between Comr. Kemi Nshe and Rt.Hon.Johnbull Shekarau.

The crisis has spilled hatred and political acrimony amongst the supporters of the factional camp which has been lingering since and in which the party stalwarts and traditional rulers try to intervene.

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang in his wisdom formulated peace and ensured that appointments were given to them to bring peace between them couldn’t yield any positive impact.

The governor’s meaningful efforts had made sharing a formula for the two gladiators didn’t yield the desired results, but the questions asking for big answers is that the opposition party, ADP, SDP, and Labour Party ( LP) will be gaining ground as they are now jostling to have a swell day on the election date.

Several effort by religious leaders to foster unity amongst them was rejected by the gladiators leading to court action and if nothing is done in time the same party tsunami might sleep in Plateau Southern Senatorial District.

The 2023 judgment of the election tribunal and appeal court is still reference point for party men and women to learn.

It was gathered that with Reports of litigation ravaging PDP the party is yet to have a ground to challenge the Oct 9th LGs elections in 2024 due to the serious crack expressed by stakeholders in Shendam and four chairmanship aspirants in the 4 Councils.
