Damagum Not Interested In Working For PDP, He Should Respond To Allegation Of A Secret Meeting With Tinubu – Ologbondiyan

A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has predicted that the party may suffer election losses in forthcoming off-cycle governorship elections in Anambra, Ekiti and Osun States as long as Umar Damagum remains the Acting National Chairman of the Party......See Full Story>>.....See Full Story>>

Ologbondiyan added that the only way to avert the impending losses is for the planned November 28 National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the PDP to be held and a substantive National Chairman from the North Central to emerge from the meeting.

The former PDP spokesperson argued that it is obvious Damagum is not interested in working for the party, and if things continue as they are, he would be the one to extinguish the life of the party.

Speaking on Sunday in Abuja following the PDP’s loss of the Ondo State governorship election, Ologbondiyan argued that the emergence of a National Chairman from the North Central is supported by Section 47 (6) of the party’s Constitution (2017 Amendment).

Ologbondiyan made his mind known while speaking with the G12-Renaissance Group of the PDP in Abuja, said it is important for Damagum to leave so the PDP won’t lose the governorship elections in Anambra, Ekiti and Osun just as it has lost Kogi, Imo and Ondo States.

“It is reprehensible that the Acting National Chairman is supervising the dishevelling of the party,” he added.

“Amb. Damagun has the least of interest in working for the suçcess of the party in any election,” he further noted.

He also challenged Damagum to speak up on the allegation that he secretly met with President Bola Tinubu in London.

“How can the head of the leading opposition party be accused of nicodemusly meeting with the President of the ruling government, and he would have no response to provide?” Ologbondiyan asked while challenging party leaders to rescue the PDP from the stranglehold of Damagum and his backers.
