He said that Ogie have failed to bring new ideas and should consider stepping aside or moving to federal roles, thereby making way for younger, more driven individuals. This stance reflects a broader demand for leadership that is both dynamic and forward-thinking, aiming to revitalize governance in Edo State.
He said “Ogie has been a secretary to government for 8 years, he was my Chief of staff and Commissioner for works under my 8 years administration put together 16 years he has been there, and Edo is not only for one person. So, I will never use unkind words on him but I will advise him as an elder: it is time for him to go and rest.
“If he insists, let him upgrade to Federal level. For Edo, he should allow younger people who are hungry to prove themselves. After 16 years in government and over 60 years of age, you have no new ideas, it is time to step aside.” Oshiomhole said.
