Okpebholo Names Ize-Iyamu’s Running Mate Audu Chief Of Staff

, has approved the appointment of Gani Audu, the running mate to the governorship candidate of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo, during the September 19, 2020 election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, as his Chief of Staff, with immediate effect.In an official communication, signed yesterday by the Secretary to Edo State Government (SSG), Musa Ikhilor, Audu’s appointment would help Okpebholo in driving meaningful reforms in the state.Ikhilor said: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly the good people of Edo State, that His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Governor of Edo State, has approved the appointment of Hon. Gani Audu as his Chief of Staff. The appointment takes immediate effect.”

Audu, born August 18, 1969, obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) from Auchi Polytechnic in 1994, a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University (BIU), Benin, in 2011, and an M.Sc. in Intelligence and Global Security from Baze University, Abuja in 2024.The new Chief of Staff was an elected Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council of Edo from 2004 to 2010, and was elected member, Edo House of Assembly (Etsako West Constituency 1), from 2015 to 2023.

Meanwhile, Okpebholo also approved the appointment of Dr. Emmanuel Paddy lyamu as the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB); Lucky Enehita–Inegbenehi as the Managing Director of the State Waste Management Board; Friday Ibadin, a retired Commissioner of Police, as Corps Commander, Edo State Security Corps Governance; Stainless Ijeghede as the Managing Director, Edo State Traffic Management Agency, (EDSTMA); Sir Lucky Eseigbe, as Managing Director, Edo State Public Building and Maintenance Agency; and Engr. Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor, as Commissioner of Finance-designate.

The six appointments take effect from November 15, 2024, according to the SSG.
