The Libyan team had raised concerns that Nigerian journalists were able to observe their final training session from the media lounge, which is situated near the stadium, and offers a clear view of the main bowl where they were training.
The CAF official informed the Super Eagles team coordinator to clear the area, or face violation charges, including spying on the Libyan team’s preparations.
In response, all the assembled journalists, who were waiting for he arrival of Super Eagles interim coach, Austin Eguavoen and captain, William Troost-Ekong, were asked to leave.
After the situation was resolved, the presser finally began at 6pm, followed by the team’s final training session ahead of tomorrow’s match.
Nigeria will face Libya at 5pm, tomorrow, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
