According to a press statement released by the FCT Police Command, several arrests have been made and the situation is currently under control. The Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has condemned the attack and vowed to bring those responsible to justice.
The attack resulted in the destruction of three police patrol vehicles, which were set ablaze by the protesters. The three injured officers are currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
The FCT Police Command has assured the public that normalcy has been restored and that further developments will be communicated in due course.
