Fashion entrepreneur Tania Omotayo, has reacted after being accused of using Ozempic to lose weight.
Naija News reports that a Snapchat user accidentally sent her a gossip message intended for someone else.
The message claimed that the fashion entrepreneur and influencer was using Ozempic to lose weight.
The mix-up happened when the user mistakenly forwarded the gossip to Tania herself, prompting her to clear the air.
The former girlfriend of music star Wizkid, explained that her weight loss had nothing to do with Ozempic and that she has always been open about her fitness journey.
Tania, who is now a mother of two, reminded people to avoid spreading false stories, saying that she has already shared a full video on TikTok explaining how she achieved her transformation naturally.
The Snapchat user wrote: “She’s on Ozempic.”
Tania replied: “Oops. You mistakenly sent the chat to me Hun. And no, I’m not on Ozempic. I’ve never hidden how I lost weight. There’s a whole video on my TikTok. Let’s not spread the nonsense please. God bless.”
Ozempic is a prescription medication originally made to help people with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar levels.
However, Ozempic has become popular beyond its medical purpose because it can also cause weight loss.
Many people, especially celebrities and influencers, have reportedly used it to lose weight quickly, even though it is meant for diabetes treatment.
